Ms. Sana Maqsood is a certified project manager with over 10 years of experience working in the health sector, project design and troubleshooting, business process modelling, strategic planning, business consultancy, and process improvement projects.
Originally from Pakistan, but settled in New Zealand since 2011. Currently, she is working in a project management role at Waikato District Health Board, a major regional hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. She also works closely with the New Zealand’s Ministry of Health on the implementation of various national projects.

She has worked in a high performing teams in a variety of organisations, including government hospitals, private companies, and media broadcasting. She holds a degree in Total Quality Management and Public Health. She also holds PMP, Kaizen Practitioner, and Quality Practitioner certifications.

Alongside her professional career, she is an active social worker and is vocal about women’s empowerment, education programmes, career counselling and health awareness programmes.

She has worked with the Pakistan Association of New Zealand (PANZ) as a Media Advisor (volunteer role) and hosted social programs to raise awareness about the COVID -19.

Prior to pursuing her career in New Zealand, she was working with the Shaukat Khanum Cancer and Research Hospital in Information Technology unit.

She has enjoyed her Radio Broadcasting experience both in Pakistan (FM 101 – Lahore) and New Zealand (Community Radio Hamilton – FM 89).
