First Aid for the Workplace

Every workplace should not only have a first-aid box to deal with emergencies or immediate care but it should also have trained its staff to tackle such situations. It is the responsibility of the organization to ensure the availability of first-aid arrangements. This is particularly important for those workplaces where there are more safety and health risks involved.

Needs Assessment

A needs assessment for first-aid involves deciding which first-aid equipment training is necessary for the employees, based on the nature of their work. These first aid skills are necessary for everyone because one never knows when the need may arise. Keeping this need in mind, Pak Health Consultants (PHC) designed the First Aid for the Workplace course. PHC is a leading healthcare consulting firm in Pakistan, with an aim to make a healthier Pakistan. Through our expert team, we intend to educate workplace employees about the significance of healthcare & first aid techniques which would help in saving more lives in the future.

Contextual Reference

Pakistan has to face medical emergencies due to a lack of appropriate resources and basic medical training. Numerous issues like weather hazards, poor safety protocols and ignorance of health problems cause people to land in a medical emergency, where they are on the verge of dying. Research has time and again validated that if first aid is given on spot, the patients’ lives can be saved. Waiting for help or a doctor to save the patient has not been a helpful choice in the majority of cases. To tackle this issue, we have created this First-aid for the Workplace Course to make citizens independent and help them save lives.

Thereby, this course enables employees to engage in first aid provision so as to prevent an injury from becoming worse, to promote recovery in a patient, help in relieving pain and save the life of the patient consequently.

The course can help participants know how to recover a patient back from issues like

  • Adult Resuscitation (Cpr)
