IHS has vast experience in public health consultancies and health-related interventions for specific target groups as well as for the public. We have an experienced team of consultants including physicians, psychologists, occupational and public health scientists who, with the support of massive resources and manpower available to us due to our presence in several related health fields across the country, can undertake health consultancies, research and capacity building projects at any location in Pakistan. School Health
IHS School Health Services are aimed at early detection, correction and prevention of deformities and disabilities that may develop during the growing years besides inculcating a healthy life style at an early age. The basic objectives of School Health Services are:
- Promotion of positive health.
- Prevention of diseases especially communicable & vaccine preventable.
- Early diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of illnesses.
- Awakening health consciousness in children (Through the ‘Child to Child’ approach & capacity building of teachers and school staff) and
- Provision of a healthy environment.
School Health Service has been a prime area of activity of IHS since 1997. Initially, due to lack of awareness, it was difficult to make the school administrators appreciate the need to adopt a school health system. We had to work hard to make the educationists understand the importance of school health services in the overall mental & physical development of a child. Although in Pakistan school health has been a part of the government health infrastructure since 1952 but practically it is still non-existent. Today, after almost two decades of hard work and commitment, IHS is the largest operator of school health in the country and is providing various types of health services toeducational institutions across Pakistan, catering to the needs of schools ranging from high-end English medium private schools to public sector and even shelter-less schools in small towns & villages.
While some schools select few of the components as per their needs, while others like Islamabad Convent School (H-8 & F-8 Campuses), City School (Margalla Campus) & Sheikh Zayed International School, H-8, in Islamabad & St. Mary’s Academy, Lalazar, St. Francis School, Rawalpindi, St. Mary’s Peshawar &Viqar-un-Nisa Girls College, Rawalpindi have full-fledged (extended) School Health Services including in-school clinics staffed with lady doctors & female nurses.
Clinical Care
IHS provides 24-hour clinical care services through a team of doctors, medics and ambulances in Islamabad and Rawalpindi to its registered clients/organizations/schools.IHS operates quality medical facilities at the following locations in Islamabad:
- IHS Clinic G-8 Markaz: Operational from 10 am to 6 pm, this clinic provides specialists and general consultation facilities along with lab collection & ambulance services.
- IHS Children Hospital F-10: Islamabad’s first, state of the art, specialized child health facility located in F-10/1 Islamabad is open 24 hours with availability of the following facilities round the clock:
- Child specialists – This is the only facility in Islamabad with 24 hours availability of child specialists.
- Child related specialties like pediatric surgeon, child psychologists, preventive pediatrician, developmental consultants, child neurologist, eye & ENT specialist etc.
- All vaccinations – for newborns to infants, children & also adults.
- Laboratory – with on-site facility of all routine and specialized tests on state of the art equipment.
- Admission facility – Private rooms, specially designed for children.
- Specialized Pediatric Operation Theatre for all types of minor & major children surgeries.
- Neonatal ICU with baby incubators, baby warmers, phototherapy units and cardiac monitors.
Home Medical Care
Organized Home Medical Care is a relatively new concept in our country. IHS is the pioneer of “Home Medical Care” in Pakistan and is currently operating the largest and the most efficient and reliable home care team in the country with services available in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore.
Through round the clock available team of specially trained doctors and paramedics in the art of personalized home care, IHS provides services like House-Call doctors/ specialists/ paramedics, collection of lab samples, vaccinations, infusions and medical procedures, in the comfort of home or office through a call on IHS 24 hr. UAN Medical Help line.
IHS also provides home nursing facilities for prolonged periods for chronically and terminally sick patients. This includes provision of doctors, nurses and paramedics for extended periods even months, at home. Besides the clinical services IHS arranges for home medical equipment such as nebulizers, wheel chairs, oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, suction units, cardiac monitors, etc. on nominal rent.

- “Health Card” up to 20 % discount at quality medical facilities of the town.
- Annual Health Assessment and general checkup at IHS Centers.
- ”Health File System” to maintain your health records for future reference, analysis and advise.
- Provision of house hold medical equipment like first aid boxes, blood pressure
